I have purchased many pairs of Size G (10.5-11.5) over the years. All fit comfortably and were reasonably durable… until my latest purchase in June 2026. The fin has been redesigned and not for the better.
I can’t speak to their durability, but the fit is very tight around the heel and very snug in the toe box. (I wear a 10.5-size shoe.) Upon first use, the fins were way too tight across the top (instep) of both feet causing temporary, but deep and painful skin bruising.
As Kiefer has a policy of no return for new items that have been used and removed from their packaging, I am now on my own to make the fins fit more comfortably.
I stuffed a pair of thick winter socks into each fin to stretch the rubber. Doing so gradually stretched the rubber enough so that I can at least tolerate the tight fit without quite so much pain when using them. They still cause bruising (see photo), although not quite as severe. I have changed to using a pair of small water bottles – one in each fin – to see if I can further stretch the rubber and improve the fit (see photo).
Kiefer customers should avoid purchasing Finis Zoomer Gold Fins and save themselves the hassle of trying to make them fit. The sizing chart shown is not accurate. Kiefer should do their customers a favor by ceasing to sell these fins until the manufacturer works out the fins redesign sizing flaws.

I had a pair of zoomers for about 5-6 years which I loved but were stolen. New ones too hard and my toes get somewhat squashed even though size is 8.5 and my feet are 8. I phoned about this and said the design had changed. This is very unfortunate
