DII Men and Women NCAA Predictions
Women and men’s division II college rankings are here! Check out where your favorites may fall and get ready to cheer them on through the final stretch of the season. Championships for men and women are March 10-14 in Indianapolis at the IU Natatorium.
Women
- Drury: Returning champions look to defend their title this year and continue the streak of dominance the Panthers are known to display.
- Queens: Runners up last year will look to dethrone Drury and take over. Last year they were merely points behind.
- Wingate: Finishing fifth last year this team has the potential to finish in the top three but will need to swim tough.
- UC San Diego: Sixth last year UCSD is looking to finish in the top three.
- LIU Post: Moving up the rankings from last year’s eighth place finish LIU Post could be a top five team this year.
- Florida Southern: Tenth at the big meet last year this team is not getting bumped out of the top ten this year.
- Cal Baptist: Eleventh last year Cal Baptist might find themselves fighting to keep their place in the top ten with teams like Grand Valley and Tampa on their heels.
- Lindenwood: This team has made strides in preseason competition after finishing 20th last year, will they hold their ranking in the top ten, watch for them in March!
- Simon Fraser: Another team flying up the rankings from last year is Simon Fraser. They finished 18th last year and may be able to break into the top 10 this year.
- Northern Michigan: Ninth last year, this team has the ability remain in the top ten.
- Drury: With a decade of dominance the men are going for their 11th title this year.
- Queens: Fourth at last year’s championship this team likely won’t touch Drury but will need to hold off other teams to finish in second.
- Florida Southern: Last year’s runner up, this team isn’t likely to fall outside of the top three.
- UC San Diego: Fifth at last year’s event keep an eye on this squad to finish in the top five.
- Wingate: Last year they finished sixth and will be one of several teams fighting to be a top five team.
- Grand Valley: Seventh last year watch for this team to be in a battle for fifth place.
- Lindenwood: Eleventh last year keep an eye on this squad, preseason rankings could hold true and place them in the top five at this year’s championship.
- Bridgeport: Looking to improve on their tenth place finish last year.
- West Chester: Finishin 12th last year West Chester will be in the top ten this year. My prediction.
- Tampa: Finishing in eighth place in 2014 Tampa may have a hard time finishing in the top ten this season.
